Hi I'm Jess or Jay, owner and groomer of LICK'N BARK. My life has been dedicated to dogs, I love everything about them. I've had many years of learning and experience working and handling dogs of all shapes and sizes.
I've worked in the Greater Manchester Police dog kennels, I've taught dog training classes under two of the UK's top behaviourists. I started my own dog walking business in 2011, but my hunger for learning led me to do get my dog grooming qualifications in 2014 and keeping the name, HoundAroundTown, I moved the business from walking to mobile dog grooming. After 8 years on the road and a dislocated knee I briefly groomed from home before changing to salon life, and LICK'N BARK was born, the name coming off back of my favourite band Linkin Park, who doesn't love a pun?! I have many hobbies and love having (many) other animals in my life. In 2015 I married my beautiful wife Laura and in 2018 we welcomed into our lives our stunning son Alex. So our house is never a quiet place thats for sure!
